HOLLOW BONE
Yanu Zsigo's warm and powerful voice
breathes life to lyrics while he pounds out rhythms on his stomping
bass drum and syncopated high hat, before introducing rhythm guitar,
bass or more percussion. Add to this powerhouse, Damien Cheung's
driving riffs and soaring lead guitar, which crackle with energy and
what have you got?
A rousing blend of fresh and exciting
versions of traditional Blues plus brilliant original material
guaranteed to raise your spirits and make you feel glad you made it!
"Better than anything at Glastonbury
Festival" - Daily Telegraph reviewer.

Formation: At The Crossroads
November 2004: Yanu Zsigo gave his last
pound coin to a busker playing electric blues guitar in the open air in
front of the Market Cross on the high street in Glastonbury. The pair
began to jam right there in the street in the autumn sun.
Damien laid down the
Blues riffs, Yanu simply improvised the lyrics. Hollow Bone was born in
that moment of inspiration and has been gigging regularly ever since.
Vision: The raw essence of the Blues
Hollow Bone play fresh
and exciting Blues based around original songs combined with radical
reworking of Blues standards. The band approach each gig as a ‘blank
canvass’ and launch into the performance without the safety net of a set
list, relying instead on their considerable ability to improvise: making
music on the spot.
The line up: Minimal instrumentation,
Maximum intensity
Hollow Bone usually
perform as a duo.
When Yanu sings you
believe him thanks to a warm and powerful Blues Rock voice that simply
brings a lyric to life. He somehow combines lead vocals with playing
solid rhythm guitar and simultaneously pounding out a stomping beat on a
bass drum.
Damien’s driving riffs
and soaring lead guitar just crackle with blues energy and power.
Together Yanu and Damien
just catch fire.
